The Grampians Pétanque Club Inc. was established in 2002 by a group of enthusiasts in nearby Moyston and relocated to Halls Gap,Victoria, Australia in 2004. Our impressive floodlit “Boule-o-Drome” was officially opened in March 2005.

Located beside the community sports pavilion at the Halls Gap oval, the piste is just 400m from the town centre with excellent catering facilities and ramp access to toilets for the disabled. Encircled by the impressive grandeur of the Grampians National Park, it is perhaps the most scenic sporting venue in Australia.

Domestic and international visitors alike are cordially invited to use our impressive facility at any time, free of charge. Boules are available for loan if you have left yours at home!

The “Boule-o-Drome” is surrounded by 19 shaded picnic tables and 6 bench seats with an elevated grassed embankment under the trees giving a birds-eye view of the games. The main piste can comfortably host eleven games simultaneously and there are additional playing areas at the facility to meet the needs of tournaments.

In 2010 a second piste and clubroom was commissioned at the Moyston football ground (32 km from Halls Gap). Club members meet regularly on Friday evenings and the venue is also used for social tournaments and community functions.

A Big Thanks:

In January 2011 our playing surfaces were severely damaged by the devastating Grampians flood event. Much of the topping was washed away, the base was badly eroded and boundary timbers were displaced. A generous grant from the Victorian Government Floods Community Recovery Fund (CRF) enabled us to completely restore the facility, which looked superb for the September 2011 Doubles Tournament.
